Nic Murphy

Guitar, Bass, Songwriting, Music Production, & Logic Pro instructor

Nic Murphy has been laying down grooves since 1993, when he first picked up the guitar and bass in his hometown jazz band Green Eggs and Spam in Mississippi. From there, his musical journey took off — playing in Southern Rock bands like Novus Jove, launching a touring career that took him coast to coast.

When he wasn’t on the road, Nic was in the classroom, sharing his skills and passion by teaching guitar and bass to students of all ages at Music Masters. In 2002, during a tour with Reaching Jane, Nic made the move to Delaware to grow his fan base — and found more than just new listeners. He fell in love with the changing seasons and eventually settled in Downingtown, PA, where he now lives with his wife Crystal and their two kids.

These days, when Nic isn’t teaching, you’ll find him producing and recording at his own studio, BoDoc Records, or enjoying the great outdoors — hiking, camping, or chasing his kids around the playground.

- Always listen and you will hear - Nic Murphy

Sarah Weaver

PIANO & Voice INSTRUCTOR

Sarah has always had a song in her heart.

Hailing from Scranton PA, she and her husband met during a semester of Concert Choir at Elizabethtown College. After graduating with a Music Education degree in 2015, she later relocated to Thorndale, got a corgi, survived zoom teaching during covid, attained her Master's degree, and is about to enter her tenth year of teaching music in public schools. She has a passion for helping her middle school students sing out musically and proudly while still looking cool.

Even though large group music settings bring a vivacious chaos to  her life, Sarah has found a love for one on one sessions over the recent years. She thrives off of taking the time to get to know her students at a one on one level, regardless of age or skill level. She believes that everyone can make music!

While not teaching, Sarah enjoys finding her footing in her newfound role & joy of motherhood, walking her dog, and reading.
